Lars Schnieder has been published.<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p>Digital technologies are penetrating ever further into all areas of the rail system. Artificial intelligence enables predictive maintenance and increases the efficiency of rail operations. The basis for AI systems is formed by powerful algorithms for environment perception, which also include safety-relevant functions.
