III. General Data Processing Information

1) Personal Data Processing Scope

We only process personal data of our users insofar as required for providing a functional website and our contents and services. Personal data will only be processed with the user's consent. Exceptions apply if obtaining prior consent is not possible for factual reasons or if processing is permitted by law

2) Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data

If we obtain the data subject's consent for the processing of personal data, Art. 6(1) Letter a of the General Data Protection Regulation will serve as the legal basis.

When processing personal data required for a contract to whom the data subject is a party, Art. 6(1) Letter b of the General Data Protection Regulation will serve as the legal basis. This also applies to processing required for pre-contractual measures.

If personal data must be processed to fulfill any legal obligations of our company, Art. 6(1) Letter c of the General Data Protection Regulation will serve as the legal basis.

If processing is required to safeguard legitimate interests of our company or of a third party and if these legitimate interests are not outweighed by the interests, basic rights and basic freedoms of the data subject, Art. 6(1) Letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation will serve as the legal basis for processing.

3) Data Deletion and Storage Duratioin

The data subject's personal data will be deleted or blocked once its storage purposes cease to apply. In addition, data may be saved if required by European Union or national laws, regulations or other requirements that apply to the controller. Data will also be blocked or deleted after the storage periods in the stated regulations expire, unless the data must be saved for contract conclusion or fulfillment.

 

IV. Website Providing and Log File Creation

1) Data Processing Description and Scope

When our website is accessed, our system will automatically collect data and information from the computer system of the accessing computer.

The following data will be collected:

  • Information on the browser type and version
  • The user's operating system
  • The user's Internet service provider
  • The user's IP address
  • Time and date of access
  • Websites from which the user's system reached our Internet page
  • Websites opened by the user's system through our website

Log files feature IP addresses or other data that allow references to a user. This may be the case if, e.g., the link to the website from which the user reaches our website or the link to the website to which the user navigates includes personal data.

The data will also be saved in the log files of our system. However, this data will not be saved with other personal data of the user.

2) Legal Basis for Data Processing

The legal basis for saving data temporarily and creating log files is Art. 6(1) Letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation.

3) Data Processing Purpose

Our system must save IP addresses temporarily to transmit the website to the user's computer. This requires the user's IP address to be saved for the duration of the session.

Data is saved on log files to ensure the website's functionality. In addition, this data helps us optimize our website and ensure the security of our information technology systems. This data will not be assessed for marketing purposes.

Our legitimate interest in processing under Art. 6(1) Letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation is also based on these purposes.

4) Storage Duration

Data will be deleted when it is no longer needed to achieve the purposes for which it was collected. If data is collected to provide this website, this will be the case when the respective session ends.

If data is saved on log files, this will apply after seven days at the latest. However, data may be saved for longer. In such cases, user IP addresses will be deleted or masked to prevent references to the requesting client.

5) Storage Duration

Data must be collected to provide this website and saved in log files to operate this website. The user is not entitled to any according objection rights.

V. Cookies

1) Data Processing Descriptions and Scope

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are text files saved on the user's browser or on the user's computer system by the user's browser. If a user opens a website, a cookie may be saved on the user's operating system. This cookie will include a character sequence that allows the browser to be recognized when opening the website again.

Analysis cookies are used to improve the quality and contents of our website. Analysis cookies tell us how our website is used which allows us to continuously optimize our offer.

These purposes are also the basis for our legitimate interest in the processing of personal data under Art. 6(1) Letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation.

The legal basis for processing personal data and using cookies is Art. 6(1) Letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Cookies needed for electronic communication processes or to provide certain functions desired by you are saved on the basis of Art. 6(1) Letter b of the General Data Protection Regulation (contract performance).

3) Data Processing Purposes

The purpose of using technically required cookies is to simplify use of our website for users. Some functions of our Internet page cannot be offered without cookies since they require the user's browser to be recognized even after navigating to a different page.

4) Storage Duration, Objection and Removal Options

Cookies are saved on the user's computer from where they are transmitted to our website. Therefore, as the user, you have full control over the use of cookies. You may disable or limit cookie transfers through your browser settings. Saved cookies may be deleted at any time. This may also be done automatically. However, disabling cookies for our website may prevent full use of all of our website's functions.

VI. Contact form and e-mail contact

1) Data Processing Description and Scope

Our website features a contact form which may be used to contact us electronically. If a user uses this option, the data entered into the entry mask will be transmitted to us and saved.

Alternatively, you may contact us through the provided email address. When doing so, the user's personal data transmitted with the email will be saved.

2) Legal Basis for Data Processing

The legal basis for processing data transmitted with an email is Art. 6(1) Letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation. If we are contacted by email to conclude a contract, the additional legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1) Letter b of the General Data Protection Regulation.

3) Data Processing Purposes

Personal data from the input mask is only processed for contacting purposes. If we are contacted by email, this will also be the basis for our legitimate interest in processing the data.

Other personal data is processed during the transmission process to prevent misuse of our contact form and to ensure the security of our information technology systems.

4) Storage Duration

Data will be deleted when it is no longer needed to achieve the purposes for which it was collected. For data transmitted from our contact form's input mask or by email, this will be the case when the conversation with the user ends. The conversation will end when its circumstances imply that the respective matter is settled.

Any applicable legal regulations—especially storage periods—remain unaffected

5) Objections and Removal Options

The user may revoke his consent to the processing of personal data at any time. To do so, an informal email to us will suffice. However, the legitimacy of data processed prior to the revocation will remain unaffected.

 

VII. Social Media

1) Data Processing Description and Scope

XING Plugin

Our website uses functions of the network XING. The provider is the XING AG, Dammtorstraße 29-32, 20354 Hamburg, Germany.

When opening our pages that include XING functions, a connection will be established to XING's servers. To the best of our knowledge, no personal data will be saved, especially no IP addresses, and user behavior will not be assessed thereby.

For this plugin, we selected a variant that favors data protection. When visiting our website, data will not be transmitted to the provider automatically when you are logged in to your XING account, but only following your confirmation.

YouTube

Our website uses plugins of the Google-operated page YouTube. The operator is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

If you visited one of our pages that feature a YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube's servers will be established. YouTube's server will be notified about which of our pages you visited.

If you are logged in to your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You may prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

This page uses the map service Google Maps via an API. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Use of Google Maps functions requires your IP address to be saved. This information is usually transmitted to a Google server in the US where it is saved.
