Questions about the application
Before you apply
All published ads are current. As we are growing steadily and are always focused on the needs of our customers, we are regularly looking for new colleagues. Accordingly, our job advertisements are still online, even if we have already filled the positions several times.
A multiple application is not necessary. We will match your application documents with our job offers. If you fit into different positions based on your knowledge and experience, we will take this into account in the application process. It would be helpful if you tell us in your application which positions you are interested in.
Sure thing! We are happy to receive your unsolicited application via jobs(at)ese.de. Please indicate in your application your possible starting date, preferred locations and your fields of expertise. We would also like to know what kind of salary you are looking for.
When looking for new colleagues, we always consider our entire pool of applicants for new positions, including unsolicited applications, and get back to you.
In addition to job-specific knowledge, you should be motivated to face new challenges and enjoy working in a team.
German is the project and document language in our company and many of our projects. Therefore it is important that you have at least a B2 level of German.
Application
Your application should consist of a cover letter, CV and the most important certificates. We are happy to receive applications in digital form. To ensure that we have all your documents at a glance, it would be best if you sent us everything in a single PDF document. You can find software for merging several PDF documents here, for example.
If we have any questions about your application, it is helpful if you can give us a time frame in which we can best contact you by phone.
Your application documents will be digitally handled in an access-protected database, stored by us exclusively for the purpose of the application and treated with absolute confidentiality. Of course, the data protection regulations are our top priority. Only an authorised group of people has access to your data.
Due to legal regulations (DSGVO), we keep documents for a maximum of 6 months after completion of the application process. However, if you agree, we will gladly keep your documents in our applicant pool beyond this period. In this way, we can contact you later on if a suitable position arises.
What happens now?
We take the time to process your application and answer it promptly with a personal confirmation of receipt, which is sent by e-mail.
After the confirmation of receipt we will contact you the next time within 5 - 10 days by e-mail or telephone.
Normally, we conduct one or two interviews. Sometimes we have preliminary talks on the phone to clarify important points in advance and to get a first impression. Personal interviews are usually one or two.
Sometimes we have preliminary talks on the phone to clarify important points and to get a first impression. Afterwards, representatives from the ESE departments talk to you personally in order to get an idea of who you are.
You can read about how these interviews are conducted in the section "Job interview".
If you have questions about a specific job, you will find the contact details of the responsible contact person in each of our job offer. The responsible recruiter will of course be happy to answer all your questions about your application or the application process.
Job interview
In the best case you have already sent us all the important documents, so there is no need to bring any other documents to the interview. If we are still missing any documents, we will ask you again in advance of the interview.
Only if you want to and you feel comfortable in the suit. However, you will get to know us in a business casual look, as the feel-good factor is very important to us.
To avoid you having to travel from far away, we would be happy to arrange a first video meeting. The advantages are obvious: You don't have to travel a long way and we can get to know each other much faster, thanks to more flexible availability of appointments. Reserve about 90 to 120 minutes of your time for this meeting. We deliberately take that much time to get to know you at eye level and to create a good discussion atmosphere.
Your interview partners are usually a member of our recruiting team as well as a member of the department (e.g. project manager or division manager). The interview usually lasts 90 to 120 minutes. We do not conduct stress interviews, but consciously take the time to get to know you at eye level and to create a good interview atmosphere.
What we want to know from you? On the one hand, it is about taking a closer look at your professional aptitude. We want to know more about your qualifications and professional experience and to make sure that we know which tasks you prefer. On the other hand, it is at least as important for us to get to know you as a person, your personality and your motivation and to see if you have a matching team spirit.
During the interview, we tell you when you will receive feedback from us and what the next steps will be. This usually happens after 3 days.
